Austin, Texas - On October 11, 2024 Texas Democrats’ Beat Cruz War Room released the latest in its “Terrible Ted Talks” series, highlighting in Ted Cruz’s own words how he wants to cut Social Security.
Cruz’s plan to raise the retirement age and cut Social Security benefits continues to haunt him with Texans. When asked about his comments by Chron, "Cruz dodged the question.”

Cruz: “In the English language, that is exactly how Social Security operates.”
Smith: “So I’m going to take that as a yes. That you believe Social Security is a Ponzi scheme.”
